Rare and very early All Blacks long sleeve jersey, produced by Canterbury of New Zealand and dating back to the early 1980s (circa 1983). Jerseys from this period are exceptionally hard to pin to an exact year, largely due to how limited rugby replica production was at the time, making surviving examples increasingly scarce.

This jersey features the early Canterbury era construction, including a laminated fern crest rather than embroidery — a correct and period-accurate detail for jerseys of this age. It retains its original vintage Canterbury of New Zealand (CCC) tag.

Condition is remarkable for its age, with the fabric still a deep, dark black. There is some expected wear to the fern, consistent with age and use. This is a small fitting jersey, typical of early-era rugby cuts.
