This is the first-ever Adidas All Blacks jersey, introduced in 1999 following Adidas’ takeover from Canterbury. This exact design was worn against South Africa in Dunedin in 1999, in the build-up to the Rugby World Cup, marking the beginning of a new era for the All Blacks.

The subtle shoulder detailing is a key identifier and confirms this is the same on-field jersey worn by the players in that historic first Adidas Test. These early Adidas All Blacks jerseys are increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition.
