This 1996 Springboks short sleeve jersey marks the first Nike-produced version after South Africa’s switch from Cotton Oxford, beginning what would become a long and iconic partnership between Nike and the Springboks—one that continues today. Featuring the classic Lion Lager sponsor and the old-school heavy cotton build, this jersey is a genuine throwback to the golden years of rugby tours, hard-wearing fabrics, and traditional styling.
The jersey is in very good condition with only the expected light wash fade typical of late-90s cotton, and no significant flaws. A true piece of Springbok heritage and one of the most recognisable retro designs of the era.
